Clean & welfare-friendly

After the wood shavings  or straw bedding has been laid, the floor is made ready for the chicks by putting out rolls of paper and covered with small feed crumbs which is consistent in size and dust free.

When the chicks are first tipped, the tapping sound of their feet on the paper encourages them to stay in the feeding areas.

Next to the paper lines are additional drinkers to help the baby chicks get off to a good start and the night before they arrive, the house is pre-warmed to 32C to provide a welcoming environment.

When the chicks are four days old, the supplementary drinkers are removed because they have by this time learned to drink from the small stainless steel nipples which provides a constant supply of fresh water.

Fact :-    Sainsbury's, Somerfield, Iceland, BirdsEye and the food giant Whitbread, which owns Beefeater, TGI Friday and Pizza Hut restaurants, all confirmed that they used Thai chicken.
